  • Now, you hear a welcome message both in Hindi and English.

  • Press 1 for PNR status, press 2 for arrival or departure, press 3 for seat or accommodation availability, press 4 for fare enquiry and other options.

  • Train arrival or departure enquiry – SMS ‘AD <Train number> <Station STD code> to 139. For example AD 12734 040.

  • Accommodation availability – SMS ‘SEAT <Train number> <DOJ**ddmmyy> <Station from: STD code> <Station to: STD code> <class> <quota>***’ to 139. For example SEAT 12733 15032018 0877 040 SL G.

  • Fare enquiry – SMS ‘FARE <Train number> <DOJ**ddmmyy> <Station from: STD code> <Station to: STD code> <class> <quota>***’ to 139. For example FARE 12733 15032018 0877 040 SL G.

  • Train time table – SMS ‘TIME <Train number> to 139. For example TIME 12734.

  • Train name or number – SMS ‘TN <Train name> or TN <Train number>’ to 139. For example TN Narayanadri or TN 12734.

  • For class field enter 1A for first class, 2A for second class, 3A for third class, SL for sleeper, CC for air chair car and 2S for second sitting.

  • For quota field enter ‘G’ for general and ‘CK’ for Tatkal.

  • Here ‘DOJ’ means date of journey.

  • Premium charges of Rs 3 per SMS are applicable.
